The Labrador West Health Centre Auxiliary has been an important part of Labrador West for a very long time. They have made a solid commitment to the wellness of the hospital for the past 40 years.

In a conversation with Auxiliary president Carol Valcort and vice-president Paulette Abbot at the organization’s recent craft sale at the Wabush Recreational Centre, the mood was positive and full of energy for the completion of a busy and successful event.

In spite of a snowy and blustery day, the event was full of vendors and shoppers alike. There were two rows of tables with a collection of craft items donated by people from the community to be sold with all funds collected going to the Auxiliary for to go towards the purchase of new equipment.

There were also many vendors who purchased space to display their tables with many types of crafts that they had made to sell. That revenue was also added to the funds raised for the final count for the Auxiliary fundraising efforts.
