Happy Valley-Goose Bay man charged with robbing taxi driver at knifepoint

HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, NL – Christopher Combdon of Happy Valley Goose Bay was arrested and charged with robbing a taxi driver in the community early Tuesday.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP responded to a call a male passenger had robbed a taxi driver at knifepoint by a passenger at roughly 3 a.m. The man demanded money and then left on foot.

Combdon, 35, was located and arrested at a home in Sheshatshui later that morning.

Combdon has been charged with robbery with a weapon. He appeared at provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Wednesday. His next court date is July 17.
