After a routine club check last year, liquor inspectors charged Yesterdays bar with having under-age persons on their premises according to Bill Fitzgerald, RNC Constable.
As a result, the owners of the bar have their liquor licence suspended Jan. 11 - Jan. 21.
Const. Fitzgerald explains that these checks are done periodically throughout the year in the Lab. West community and that no other bars exhibited the same infraction.
The RNC also laid charges on the juveniles in question and he adds that there has recently been a crackdown on such infractions because there is a problem with youth in bars whose alcohol consumption may lead to other infractions such as drugs or crime.
Fitzgerald explains that it is up to the owner to inform his staff not to let under-age persons on bar premises and then it's up to staff to check for identification.
